Onsen bath – Suzume-no-Yu

Seiryu’s onsen spa is supplied with Hida Takayama spring water which wells up in Hida Takayama – water from melted snow from the Northern Alps which slowly seeps into the ground over a long period of time and finally reaches Hida Takayama as a pure, natural blessing. Put your hand in and the water flows smoothly and transparently between your fingers. It is good for sensitivity to cold and the promotion of health and as your skin is smooth after using the bath, it is also known as Bijin-no-Yu (beauty bath).

Outdoor viewing bath with a view of the Northern Alps and the Hakusan Mountain Range

Our most popular bath is the outdoor viewing bath. When the weather is good, you can see the Northern Alps and the Hakusan Mountain Range. We particularly recommend the spring and early summer when the mountains still have snow on them. You will be fascinated by the dynamic mountains looming right in front of your eyes without even realizing it. As it has a lofty ceiling, this bath gives a feeling of freedom and feels very comfortable. You can hear the birdsong of the small birds in the abundant nature of Hida Takayama.

Spa Hotel Alpina – Hida Takayama outdoor bath

A panoramic view of the townscape of Takayama from the indoor bath. Enjoy the modest Takayama nightscape at night and the Takayama townscape surrounded by the mountains in the morning. We are proud of our horizontal baths with their comfortable angles which were created through repeated revisions at the design stage. We urge you to experience the feeling of the fatigue leaving your whole body. In addition, one of the features of the horizontal baths in which water pressure does not put strain on the body is that people with high blood pressure or weak hearts can use them without worrying. A long soak in a horizontal bath is very good for the health.

Spa Hotel Alpina – Hida Takayama Pot Bath

The Shiragaki-ware pot bath uses 100% spring water that flows continuously from the source. There is some sediment from the natural ingredients in the water and this is the best proof of its authenticity. The onsen spa water at Alpina is alkaline which smoothes rough skin.
